With the release of the new Wonka movie many are wondering if it is worth seeing. A change up from Charlie and the Chocolate factory, the new star is now Willy Wonka. Timiothy Chalamet plays Willy Wonka as an adventurous soul with perhaps major delusion.

Wonka is meant to set the scene as Willy’s business exploration as a young man. The movie reminds of Barbie with it’s big and bright decor and imaginary like characters. Where Wonka differs is in the musical and of course living in a chocolate factory. Wonka features things like dancing on a boat in a chocolate river and singing wacky songs about his magical candy.

In Wonka, we not only get to see his current standing in the factory, but his past as well. As Wonka arrives in London after sailing the world to look for the magical ingredients for his candy. An example of an ingredient is the Hoverchoc a chocolate egg with a bug inside that can cause levitation. Because of Wonka’s talent in chocolate and candy making, his competitors to shut him down. A nasty snobbish group lead by Slugworth the richest and meanest of them all.

To remind those of where Wonka originates think of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s best selling novel. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory stars Charlie an impoverished boy with a heart of gold. His dream is to see the mysterious factory of Willy Wonka. Wonka offers the once in a lifetime opportunity to visit his factory with a golden ticket found in his chocolate bars. At the end of the movie Wonka gives his factory to Charlie, as Wonka was looking for a suitor for his factory all along.

A big change to Wonka’s factory as a whole are the presence of Oompa-Loompas. For those not familiar, Oompa-Loompas were Wonka’s “workers” in his factory. The Oompa-Loompas were short people with orange skin and green hair. This is one of the few ugly examples that Wonka tries to eliminate from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Another is the crazy maniacal side of Wonka and his plans. Wonka is now kinder hearted although still a little manic through his intense passion for chocolate.

His passion of chocolate is so intense he beleives he can lift the spirit of the world with it and change your life. This intense passion is well perceived through Chamalet’s jaw dropping performance. Chamalet is an ergenetic passionate young man, but also missed his dead mother which can be seen at times during the movie.

Some potential hidden messages in Wonka include hanging on to your dreams no matter the odds. This refers to the greedy nature of corporations that want to monopolize and drown out competition. In this case, the competitive candy business’s. Wonka plays on tough upbringings and self reliance. How all these factors can play into who you are.

Is Wonka Worth seeing though? With a Rotten Tomato Score of 82% and 7.3 on ImDb checking it out sounds justify-able.

Many have long been awaiting the release of GTA6. Good news it is coming out in 2025! No actual day in 2025, but still exciting. With the recent release of the trailer for the game, we now know a new main character will be starring the story.

Lucia was introduced as the new protagonist of GTA 6. Although we don’t know much about Lucia from the trailer, we are given some hints, like her wearing a prison outfit and interacting with a male character that will be new to the GTA storyline. Lucia, is seen in the trailer as a previous master of crime and getting into shady situations with the law. The unnamed new male character seems to be Lucia’s male accomplice, with some romance involved. These new characters will be interacting in a location we all know well from GTA, Vice City.

Vice City will take a massive upgrade to the previous Vice City not only in graphics, but in map size, character depth and more. For those who never played Vice City, this map aims to replicate Miami and according to some sources will now include parts of the Florida Keys and Everglades. Knowing how well GTA 5 replicated Los Angeles with Santa Monica, Venice Beach,  and LAX, we know that Rockstar Games will knock it out of the park for recreating Miami and Florida. Truly this game is set to break records in sales with GTA 5 making millions every year since its inception. Some personal preferences I loved in the trailer included the prevalence of social media.

In the trailer, you see girls recording themselves twerk, a viral video of a gator and people recording stuff on their smartphones being the typical clout chasers you can see today. GTA 6 will truly relate to real life more and more. The depth of characters and diversity seen in the trailer will also looked quite impressive as you go to the show boaters in the city to the red necks in the swampland. More could also be seen in the leaks of the game.

For those unaware, the leaked accured in September of 2022, which released many clips of the game, that quickly rocked through the online community. Rockstar admitted to this security breach and was upset to have their details released after waiting so long to show anything at all. Luckily no assets were stolen from Rockstar games and many of the sources for the leak were washed away. Personally, I cannot find any leaks anymore. However, what I remember were some clips of Lucia racing on a boat and being chased by a helicopter as well as the new strip club in the game. When watching the leaks, I was not sure if this was proven to be GTA 6 on the PC, XBOX or PS5, at least we know it will be available on all of those consoles.

We all figured GTA 6 would be on all the new consoles out there, however, for those of us that have not upgraded your console, you are out of luck. GTA 6 will not be offered on XBOX 1 or PS4. This will only be for the newest gen consoles. Microsoft and Sony should honestly be paying Take Two Interactive for this as this will most likely prompt the sales of many more consoles solely for GTA 6. Either way the game should help Take Two Interactive boost sales considering their performance of the GTA series.

Strauss Zelnick of Take Two predicts that their revenue will be significantly increased and that is why I am invested in Take Two (Ticker Symbol: TTWO). To clarify, I am not a financial advisor of any sort, just a find of stocks and the public market. To give you my story, I invested in TTWO back during the pandemic at around 170 dollars a share. With the stay at home stocks booming, TTWO jumped to around 212 per share. I invested in TTWO, with the assumption GTA6 would come out soon. Soon for TTWO, but what I didn’t realize, was slower for most of the video game world. After TTWO’s peak of 212, the COVID hype train slowed and TTWO dropped to around 140. As I currently write this article, it is sitting around 160 per share after a little momentum from the trailer release. I think now could be a great time to buy as many of us anticipate to purchase the game as soon it is released. Others have rumored that GTA6 may charge by time played, which would be one of the biggest changes in video game business model the video game world has seen. IF GTA 6 is able to convince us players to pay for time used, this will be a profit bonanza. Even without charging by a unit of time, it is hard to not see GTA 6 being the highest grossing video game of all time, considering the success of GTA 5.
